One shop, one crew, one number to call

DCG provides turnkey dust and fume control solutions for industrial facilities. We design the system, fabricate the components, supply the equipment, and perform the mechanical installation, giving you one contractor from design through completion.

The problem we exist to solve

Every plant that cuts, welds, grinds, pours, mills or mixes something produces dust or fume it cannot simply vent into the room. Getting rid of it sounds like buying a dust collector. It almost never is.

The collector is the easy part — it is a catalog item, and several excellent manufacturers make them. What decides whether the system actually works is everything between the process and that collector: a hood shaped for the way the work is really done, duct sized to keep material moving instead of dropping out, a route through a building already full of conduit and sprinkler main, and steel to carry it all.

Why we work in-house

A DCG fabricator in a welding jacket and face shield grinding a steel beam, sparks flying.
The work we keep in our own shop.

The usual arrangement puts three companies on one job: an integrator who sells the system, a fabrication shop that makes the duct, and a mechanical contractor who installs it. Every seam between those three is a place for schedule and accountability to leak out. When a fitting does not fit, it becomes a conversation instead of a fix.

We do all three. The ductwork, hoods and steel are fabricated in our own shop, and our own crews rig the collector, hang the duct, build the platforms and tie the system into your building. When something needs changing in the field, the shop that made it is a phone call and a short drive away — not a purchase order and a lead time.

We are equipment-agnostic, and that is deliberate. We size and supply the collector from the manufacturer whose equipment actually fits the duty — Donaldson Torit, Scientific, whoever the dust points to. A factory-owned rep has one brand to sell you. We have the whole market, and no reason to talk you into the wrong unit.

How we work

Most of what we build goes into plants that cannot stop running. That shapes everything: we fabricate ahead and stage on site so shutdown time is spent installing, we work the off-shifts and weekends the schedule needs, and we start the system up and balance it before we call it finished.

We are in Indianapolis and we work throughout Indiana. Projects tend to be substantial and long-lived — the systems we install are expected to run for decades, which is a good reason to build them heavier than the minimum and to still be here when they need service.

Qualified where it matters

  • ISNetworld

    Member contractor

Our safety, insurance and compliance records are held and verified in ISN, the contractor prequalification system many large plants require before a contractor can bid at all. If your facility screens through ISN, we are already qualified in it.
